“No. I want you to get off right here in front of me.” He put a hand on my stomach and held me down. “I’m going to watch you fall apart and hear you moan, Lex. If you can do that with me, then you should feel more at ease tomorrow night.” His eyes had a wicked, daring glint to them. He was challenging me.

While I sucked on the field, I liked winning whenever I could. He wasn’t pushing me away. He wasn’t tricking me or trying to hurt me. He wanted to see me pleasure myself, and shit, that was hot.

Without thinking about it, I slid my hand down my body and inserted two fingers into myself, bucking my hips to get the right pressure. He watched, slack jawed, and groaned when I swirled my thumb where I needed it.

“Oh yes,” I breathed, unable to believe this was happening. Will watched me with absolute fire in his eyes, like I was the sexiest thing he’d ever witnessed. Seeing him turned on by me got me hotter, and I moved my fingers faster. My clit swelled as his chest heaved, and I let myself admire his body without reservations—the hard lines of his muscles, the huge bulge in his boxers, the way he wet his lips and eyed me like a meal. “Will, wow,” I moaned, feeling the release seconds away. His looks and voice and heated gaze were all the foreplay I needed. I quickened my pace, closed my eyes, and almost screamed when the orgasm took over.

Sharp, aggressive bolts of pressure spread through my veins as sweat covered my body. It had been years since an orgasm hit me that hard and lasted that long. With one heavy breath, I opened my eyes and found Will’s blue gaze staring at me, hard. No humor or joy in them.

  Lust.

  It was a powerful feeling.

“That might’ve been about the hottest thing I’ve seen.” He cleared his throat and reached down to adjust his shorts. “Do you always come that fast?”

“I’ve been turned on since the club, so yes.” I laughed, the realization that I was naked and not horny making the situation weird. I covered my chest with my hands and reached down to get my shirt. “But that was the strongest one I’ve had in…a long time.”

  “Where are you going?”

“To bed? You said we’d go slow?” I paused, torn between wanting to run out of there and stay. “Tonight was a lot for me.”

“Ah, yes.” He smiled and looked at me with nothing but tenderness. His messy brown hair fell over his forehead, and my chest burned with how much I liked him. “Tomorrow we’re trying something different.”

“You stroking yourself for me?” I asked, almost gasping at my audacity.

He smirked. “If that’s what you want.”

“Might just be, Will.” I got dressed, feeling more confident than I had in a while, and left his room. Something bold and daring took over though. I looked back over my shoulder and said, “Might get off a few more times thinking about you.”

He sucked in a breath, and I shut the door.

Technically, we barely made it to first base, but it felt like a hell of a lot more.

  Chapter Four

  Will

Watching Lexi bring the straw into her mouth and laugh was doing something to me. It made my chest feel funny and my dick harden. I wanted to see her mouth twitch from pleasure again and again and again…shit. My train of thought would make it real awkward if my sister asked me to stand up to grab a drink for her, so I focused on the water.

  The freezing cold water.

  Yes, this was helping.

How would she feel against me if we went into the water? Her silky-smooth skin…

What the fuck, stop. I opened a beer and chugged the whole thing, sharing a glance with Lexi. Her gorgeous long red hair was piled on top of her head, and her full pink lips curved up into tease of a smile. She bit down on her bottom one and smirked when my gaze moved to her very revealing swimsuit. The material had a deep v in the front that left little to the imagination with her magnificent tits, and I found myself counting down the hours until we went to bed.

Only six more hours until I could say I was tired and sneak off to my room.

“Okay, what club are we going to tonight? I liked the one yesterday but want to venture out. Thoughts, Lex?” Charley asked, pushing her large sunglasses onto her head. “There’s Rivas or Dirty Dan’s.”

“Dirty Dan’s sounds like a strip club.” Lexi straightened her legs out on the towel and took another sip of her drink. Seeing her lips form an ‘o’ around the straw could probably be the death of me. “Might be fun.”

“Dirty Dan’s it is.” Charley yawned and hit Lexi on the arm. “Tonight, Lex. We’re getting you laid.”

The can in my hand crunched from my grip at the thought of Lexi showing off her body for someone else, which was absurd. The whole point was to help her get comfortable…for another guy. I shook my head and tried not to get angry at her answer.

“Not sure I wanna get laid. Maybe I just want a fun dance partner.”

“Girl, you need some Os not produced by yourself.”

My face heated, and I snuck a glance at the beautiful woman beside me. Her chest heaved, and she licked her bottom lip. We were both thinking about last night, that was for damn sure.

“I would like some toe-curling orgasms,” she said, careful to not let too much emotion show. “I’d like two of them, actually.”

“Thatta girl.” Charley stood up and ruffled Lexi’s hair. “I’m going to find some shells for this project I saw on Pinterest. Don’t finish the rum, Will.”

“Wouldn’t dare,” I said, stupidly happy she was leaving. That meant I could talk to Lexi without my sister in earshot. I waited for Charley to get a good distance away before I said, “So, toe-curling orgasms, huh?”

“Yup.” She removed her sunglasses, and humor danced in her light brown eyes. “I thought today would be awkward between us. It’s not.”

“Glad to hear it.” I rolled over onto my stomach with my head facing her. “Only awkward part was getting hard thinking about tonight. Had to force myself to think of ice water to settle down.”

She giggled and moved around, causing her cleavage to shift with her weight. “I have to say, our arrangement has started working.”

  “How’s that?”

“Charley will make me flirt tonight, but I’m not as terrified of it.”

“Because you realize how sexy you are?” I asked, pride and worry etched into my voice.

She blushed, giving me a warm look and scoffing. “Well, thanks, but no. Because regardless of how hard I fail, I get to come back to you.”

“Didn’t think this through all the way,” I said, scratching the center of my chest. “Not sure I want to see you flirt with other dudes tonight.”

“Trust me. I’m awful at flirting. The worst.” She bent forward to touch her toes, and the bright green color of her swimsuit surprised me. For a woman who liked to blend in, it was becoming harder for her not to stand out.

“Aw, you can’t be that bad.”

“Will, yes. I am. The last time your sister dragged me to a bar to try and meet someone, I asked this guy about his investments. Investments.” She closed her eyes and shook her head. A loud cackle escaped before I could stop it. She narrowed her eyes and clicked her tongue. “I told you.”

  “Okay, what’s your move then?”

  “My move?”

“Yeah, you’re in a bar, and you see someone you’re attracted to. What’s the move?”

“Try to hide how much I’m sweating, and if I’m feeling really daring, I’ll make eye contact.”

She said the words so seriously that I forced my mouth to stay flat. “You have great eyes. Don’t get me wrong, but Lex, you’re gorgeous and smart as hell. Why don’t you talk about your job or ask to dance?”

“Hi, I’m a programmer. It’s not exactly a cool intro.”

“Yes, it is. I picture programmers as these geeky guys with thick glasses, and you’ve got curves in all the right areas.”

“God, what’s gotten into you?” she said, blushing as red as the towel and swatting me with her hand. “You’r
e trying to get me all flustered, aren’t you?”

She was so damn cute. “No, but it is fun to see you squirm.”

“If we didn’t have plans later, I’d kick you in the shin or something. Can’t risk hurting you though when we go to the next base.”

“Aw, Lex, are you trying to talk sports and sex with me?”

“Will,” she scolded, making her eyes go all wide as Charley headed in our direction. “Behave.”

Charley plopped back down on her towel on the other side of Lex and put some shells into her purse before looking at us over her glasses. “You have your pain-in-the-ass face on, Will. What did you do?”

  “My what?”

“Your smirk when you know you’re being a shit. Is he annoying you, Lex? We can ditch him for a girl’s afternoon.”

“Whoa, hey, I came to hang out with my family. You wouldn’t dare ditch me, punk.”

Charley tossed sand on me and flipped me off. I groaned as the granules got everywhere. “Liar. You came because your famous lifestyle bit you in the ass and you needed to escape. You’d be here with or without me.”

“I knew Lexi would be here. She’s a joy to be around.”

“No shit. She’s my best friend.”

If Lexi was nervous at all about the bickering, she didn’t show it. Charley and I loved each other but preferred to annoy the other as often as possible. I caught Lexi watching me with a hint of a smile. “What do you think, Lex? You two going to ditch me for girl stuff?”

“I came for the beach, and I’m staying for the beach.”

Charley groaned before rolling onto her stomach. “You two were always too similar. Irritated the hell out of me. Since I can’t convince her to get pedis, let me take a nap.”

Lexi caught my eye, and a light red blush covered her upper cheeks. I wondered if my sister’s comment made her feel confused too. I never thought about how alike we were, but Charley’s words repeated in my head.

We were both stubborn, loyal, and goofy. She might not be athletic or into sports, but she was competitive as hell at video games. The girl could beat my ass left and right. She might be working through something with sex, but I was too. Different problem, same theme.

Instead of itching from the inside out, my sister’s comment solidified that getting naked with her wasn’t an awful idea. Sleeping together would help us out, and we’d both enjoy it. Now I just had to pretend I wasn’t counting down the minutes until we got back to the condo.

  * * * *

“Flirt, woman. Flirt.” Charley pointed her finger at Lexi and hit her in the chest. “Your tits are banging, and your hair is perfect. You’re going to walk up to that guy at the bar and flirt. Guys love tits and redheads. You got both, which is unfair, honestly.”

“You’re being too much right now,” Lexi responded, her expression growing tight. Charley was always relentless and pushy, and unease grew in my gut. Lexi was clearly not in the mood, and Charley wasn’t making her discomfort any better despite how good her intentions were.

“Practice with me,” I said, breaking out into a huge smile at how much I loved the concept of receiving her terrible pick-up lines. Charley didn’t need to know our other deal, but this would hopefully placate her enough to get off Lexi’s back.

Lexi chewed her bottom lip before glancing at Charley for a second before nodding. “I like that idea.”

“Hm, I’m not sure I love it. You’ve known him for over a decade, so you’re comfortable with him.” Charley frowned. “He won’t put you outside your comfort zone.”

“But he’s one of the best-looking men I’ve ever seen, so despite knowing he used to carry around a teddy bear, he can still fluster me when he does his Will thing.”

“My Will thing?” I asked, tilting my head and trying to read her right. “What’s this you speak of?”

“Your charming, panty-dropping smile with the dimples. Yes, the one you’re doing right now.”

I shrugged, and my stomach tightened at the fire in her eyes. “I’m smiling, Lex. I’m sorry if you can’t handle a simple grin.”

  “You’re the worst.”

Charley snorted and was about to say something when a tall dude who looked like he could bench press a house walked up to her. Her eyes widened, and she took his hand and went straight to the dance floor. I should’ve felt bad about how relieved I was that my sister left, but I didn’t. Dancing was always one of her favorite ways to get rid of stress, so I was glad she found something to distract herself while also leaving me alone with her best friend.

“Okay then,” Lexi said, crossing one leg over the other in her short-ass red dress. “I love her, I do, but this insistence to get me to flirt is getting old.”

“Yeah, I can see that.” I joined her at the bar and pulled the stool closer to hers so our thighs touched. She was warm and smelled like vanilla and sunscreen. “Why is she getting so pushy?”

Lexi paled and ripped up the coaster in front of her. “The guy who really hurt me...well she introduced us and encouraged me to give him another chance.”

  “Ashton?”

“No, this was another guy who catfished me. He was the first one I tried being with after the whole Ashton thing, and my horrible experience with him solidified why I don’t date. Or flirt.”

“Damn, I’m sorry.” My heart felt like someone squeezed their hand around it at the look on her face.

She shrugged but the sadness was evident in her eyes. “I think she feels responsible for the funk I’m in.”

  “The ‘not getting naked’ funk.”

  “That’s the one. Yup.”

“Well,” I said, carefully moving my hand to rest on her knee. “Tonight, we’re working on that.”

When I brought my hand further up her thigh to tease the skin under her dress, she cleared her throat and sat up straighter. Her chest heaved, and all I could think about what how she got herself off so fast the night before. Would she come that quickly if I touched her? Would her body shake and her moans get too loud? Did I want to hear her say my name when she got off?

  Yes. Yes, I did.

“Excuse me, can I sit here?” a guy asked her. Her head jerked in his direction. She nodded and turned stiff as a board as the guy smiled at her. “Thanks. My friends are going wild, and I need a damn drink.”

“I know what you mean.” She sighed and grinned back at him, and I was so damn torn.

Did I let her flirt and talk to this guy? Because I certainly didn’t want to. Not at all.

But she pushed my hand away and angled her body toward him, so I took that as my cue. The sudden disappointment startled me because Lexi deserved to flirt and have fun and move on from her hang up about getting naked.

Only thing was, I really wanted the guy she chose to be me.

  Chapter Five

  Lexi

Oh, I was screwed. So screwed.

A beautiful man named Alex chatted with me, and conversation came easily, yet I wanted to talk to Will and tease him instead. Where is he? I scanned the bar after a good twenty minutes of talking to Alex, but there was no Will in sight. He wouldn’t have left Charley and me there, and the most uncomfortable thought intruded.

What if he’s hooking up with someone?

He had all the reasons to, but I really didn’t want him to.

“I’m so sorry, excuse me, would you?” I said to Alex. “I need to make sure my friend is okay.”

“Of course. It was nice meeting you, Lexi.” He smiled, and a part of me felt guilty that I wasn’t taking advantage of the situation. How could I when I had an important deal with my childhood crush?

My dress stuck to the back of my legs, and I adjusted the fabric to make sure I wasn’t flashing anyone. My anxiety grew into a dull thud when I didn’t spot his tall frame inside. Charley winked at me from the dance floor, her body plastered to the same guy from earlier, and I gave her a thumbs up. Maybe Will was outside?

I pushed my way through the crowd and went down the narrow hallw
ay to the patio area where hammocks hung left and right. Music thumped through the walls, and the smell of the ocean mixed with smoke. A couple embraced each other on the hammock nearest me, and my chest tightened with envy. What would it feel like to be comfortable enough with someone to do that? To let go and be myself?

  “Lex?”

Will frowned from a lounge chair on the sand, and my body sagged with relief. He’s still here.

“Hey, yeah. Hi.” I slammed my mouth shut to stop the awkward talk and eyed the way his shirt showcased strong shoulders. “Why are you outside?”

“Wanted fresh air. Come on, sit with me.” He scooted back in the chair and opened his legs. “Don’t leave me hanging, Lex.”

“Charley,” I croaked out, my throat void of any moisture. “We can’t… cuddle.”

“For starters, we both know she won’t leave that dance floor. Second, she’s so loud we’ll hear her coming. Third… live a little, Lex.”

Maybe it was the flash in his eyes or the wicked grin, but I took a few steps toward him and lowered myself onto the lounge chair. He pulled me so my back rested against his chest, and his arms came around my wide hips. I was a large woman, but he was bigger, wider, stronger. He fisted my dress in his hands and lifted the skirt up to the point my exposure was almost indecent. My thighs were out in the open. “Will! What are you doing?”

“Shh,” he said, dropping his lips to my neck and making all the thoughts in my brain disappear. “Relax.”

I gulped hard and sucked in a breath when one hand dipped under the fabric. “Are you… Are you going to touch me? We’re in public.”

“Maybe, maybe not.” He bit down on the spot between my neck and shoulder, sending goosebumps down my body. “Your skin tastes so good. Damn, Lex.”

“Thanks.” I shuddered when he kept moving his hand up closer and closer between my legs. He stopped as I tensed, waiting for him to make contact. I bit back a yell of ’Why’d you stop?’

“Oh, so you do want me to touch you. Mm, I like this.” He trailed kisses along my neck and jaw and brought his thumb to the fabric of my panties. “Oh, you’re wet for me. God, this is sexy.”
